| Hi Brendon, Thanks for reaching out to MetaStock Support! My name is Heidi and I’ll be personally looking after your request today to make sure we get this sorted out for you. To backup Allan’s system, follow the steps below Open MetaStock Go to file Select Backup User Files Select the location to backup the file. Close MetaStock once you get the confirmation of the backup. If there is no Backup User Files close MetaStock, or you can not open the program Go to Documents Right click on the Metastock folder and Send To – Compressed .zip file Place on the desktop once created Then go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Innovative Market Analysis\MetaStock\ Delete Logs Go into the version 17 folder Delete Logs Go into the Formulas folder Delete Explore and Results folder Then go back to the MetaStock folder Drag the 17.0 folder from the MetaStock folder to the zip file on the desktop Once the zip completes then copy the zip file into a backup storage (USB drive, Google, One Drive, dropbox, etc) On the new system the MetaStock folder will go into Documents, and the 17.0 folder back into the AppData\Local folder using the same link above. It’s generally easiest to Launch MetaStock and close it before restoring the files so that you aren’t needing to create folders that aren’t existing. Also select overwrite when prompted while restoring the backup. Thank you, How would you rate the accuracy and relevance of the response to your issue? |
